Alice M. Morgan M.Ed, LPC Educational Consultant
Alice Morgan brings over 30 years of counseling and educational experiences to her work with parents and children. She served as Director of Counseling and Guidance at Solon High School, President and Executive Consultant of the Ohio School Counseling Association. She has received the Kentucky State Teacher of the Year award and the Ohio “Lifetime Achievement Award” for her contribution to the field of school counseling. Alice was an active member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors, the Ohio Association of College Admissions Counselors and served 3 years on the Advisory Board for Ohio State University. As Test Administrator for the Scholastic Achievement Test (SAT, PSAT) and the Academic Achievement Test (ACT, PLAN) she has worked to prepared students in all areas of the post- high school transition.
Her goal is to assist students and parents in receiving appropriate and necessary support, information and guidance to enable the student in reaching his/her academic potential at the K-12 level and a successful post-high school transition.
K-12 Educational Services
When your child goes off to school, you hope is that over the 12 + years he/she will learn and grow into a successful adult. The school district may share that goal, but often the concept “one size fits all” in terms of classrooms and curriculum turns school into a frustrating experience for the child. Instead of “learning and growing” the child becomes angry and difficult. “Attending school” becomes a painful experience for child and parent. Working with the student, parent and school our goal is to help identify possible strategies, services or other steps that will enable the student to achieve his/her academic goals.
We will work to help design a program to help parents/students be better advocates and provide ideas for support As well as strategies designed to meet the student’s academic needs.
Working with 504 and IEP $250.00
Our expert staff will assist in helping to develop, refine, modify, or draft an IEP or 504 plans. As many parents are not sure what should be in an IEP/504 plan, this service provides an expert ON YOUR TEAM where the goal is to work with the school, but work in the student’s best interests. Many parents are not aware of the vast rules and services that can be put in an IEP/504 plan. They are surprised at the services available and that to do if the school and parent do not agree on what should be done. Although we are school friendly, we are an excellent resource even before ever consulting an attorney and of course child centered.

Post-High/College Planning and Transition Services
The planning for post-high school should begin in the middle school. Often the subjects/classes taken in pre-high school can dictate how the student is prepared for the curriculum at the 9-12 grade level. More complete plans, however, should begin in the sophomore (10th) year and not later that fall of the junior (11th) year of high school. It may be a plan for delayed graduation, a technical post-high school program, or a variety of options towards a college bachelor degree; planning and a full consideration of the various options can help the student have a smooth and successful transition.
